The Swing

The rush of the wind through my hair, the subtle tickle down in my stomach, the thrill of soaring through the air, swinging is such a joy to me I just LOVE it!
I was swinging last night for about an hour and today my hands are bruised, but it was all worth it. I got some really good thinking time and I loved watching all my friends play around and enjoy their time. I also had fun when the guys would come up from behind or in front of me and dodge my feet, that was fun!

The Swing
by Robert Louis Stevenson
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
River and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside--

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown--
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!
